Detergent Industries Limited commenced operations as a chemical
research firm in 1996 and registered formally in 1998.
We produce biodiesel from carbohydrates and vegetable oils via
ethanol production and usage for in situ transesterification without
distillation process. We are presently working towards zero waste
energy sufficiency both for local consumption and for export as
well. We were recognized by the Federal Ministry of Science &
Technology as the best private innovation & inventor company at the
2007 National Science And Technology Week held at Eagle Square
Abuja- Nigeria. Also, we were among world players at the Biofuel Summit held in Madrid- Spain early this year.
Multitude of
patents have been issued on these bio-energy processes as of today.
World class industrial giants are currently talking with us on
possible collaboration for global penetration of our novel R& D
products .
Earlier before now, the company pioneered the PRODUCTION OF THE ONLY
PHOSPHATE-FREE DETERGENT POWDER and the only indigenous brand of
multipurpose lubricating grease now presently being test marketed in
Nigeria which are presently in the final stage of PATENT with the
regulatory authorities.
Also, the company is into R&D of LUBRICATING GREASE with a view to
producing cheaper and higher quality GREASE for various uses. The
National Automotive Council-Abuja has shown interest on this product
by visiting our factory twice to ascertain our capabilities and
claims with a view to incorporate our project in to the national
mandate focus of the council. The company’s research efforts is also
in to WOOD TREATMENT CHEMICAL , fertilizer, bioplastics oil spill
remediation chemicals and pre-emergent weed control produced as a by
products of our Biodiesel production process which have tremendous
local and foreign demand potentials.
The company have received
recognition from the former President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria,
Chief Olusegun Obasanjo. At the July, 2004 International Conference
of Small and Medium Enterprises (ICSME, 2004) hosted by Nigeria the
company emerged as the BEST EMERGING ENTREPRENEUR WITH THE BEST
RENEWABLE & SUSTAINABLE AGRO-BIOMASS BASED PRODUCTS. |
